Recommended Gear List 1. Hunting rifle – Whatever you are comfortable with. Large magnums are not a good weapon if you aren’t comfortable shooting them! 2. Blaze orange vest/coat and hat are required by law. Camouflage orange is not legal. 3. Temperatures can range from 65 to -15 degrees. Waterproof pants and coats can be very nice. Make sure you get the kind that isn’t noisy when you walk. We often will be walking early in the morning which can be quite warm and comfortable and then sitting on a stand in the cold. Layers work best! 4. Shooting sticks are very handy in this country. Our guides will carry them but you can bring your own if you like. I recommend the bipod type. Make sure it is the longer one. 5. Our guides will also have range finders but you are welcome to bring your own as well. 6. We will provide all tools for field dressing. 7. Make sure your footwear is comfortable for walking. 8. A day pack is handy to carry your clothing layers and drinking water in. 9. You’ll want your camera! 10. A good pair of binoculars is invaluable! |
