Lodge and Hunting Rules/Expectations |
|
It is very important to us that our clients have an enjoyable and safe hunting experience with us. To that end we ask that you observe the following guidelines.
1.Guns should be completely unloaded while at the lodge at all times. Please do load your magazine/clip when we leave to hunt. Colorado law does not allow cartridges in the chamber while in a vehicle. Please do not put a shell in the chamber until you are ready to shoot an animal! Even when you are sitting on a stand! I have seen 3 rifles discharge while on “safety”.2.An open bar will be at your disposal in the evenings after the hunt. Please enjoy it responsibly. Remember, we will be up bright and early each morning! 3.You should be physically prepared to walk at least 3 miles/day. Remember, you will be anywhere from 6,500 to 8,000 feet above sea level. We recommend that you arrive in Colorado a day or two early to give yourself time to acclimate. Altitude sickness can ruin your hunt! 4.Tips are very much appreciated if you find your experience enjoyable. We will do all we can to provide that for you. 5.You owe it to the wildlife to be a proficient marksman. Hunters in our area are often required to make shots up to 300 yards plus. We will not ask you to take a shot that is out of your comfort range. Find out what that is for you and know your point of impact up to at least 400 yards. We would like you to be here early enough on the day prior to your hunt to be able to go to our range and check your rifles. Strange things happen to rifles and bows in transit. |
